Grief is a fact of life for all of us. It is especially part of the process when it comes to navigating life as sickle cell warriors.

Our guest featured speaker, Jemela Williams, is a sickle cell warrior herself. She will present a “Sickle Cell: Living with Grief” toolkit, as well as share her personal story of grief and loss.

This SOS call will give you tools, technique, and inspiration. We all need that, right? And, you know what else we need? Each other, so please sign up to attend, Tuesday, Oct. 17th at 6 pm.

Meet Jemela Williams:

Jemela Williams

Jemela Williams lives with sickle cell anemia and is a passionate sickle cell advocate. She serves on the boards of Sickle Cell Midwest in KS, serves on the Community Leadership Council of National Pain Advocacy Center (NPAC) and on the Health-Related Stigma Research Advisory Board and is a Sick Cells Ambassador.

Jemela has appeared in multiple articles, podcasts as well as the bluebirdbio advocacy campaign, Be The Spark, and is active on social media. She is committed to helping the sickle cell community live their best lives through her advocacy work. She aims to raise awareness about sickle cell through her involvement with multiple groups and online platforms. She is currently the Social Media Community Manager for Diverse Health Hub.
