Advisory Committee

Two Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation Board Members served on the Texas Sickle Cell Advisory Committee, creating a Sickle Cell Task Force and recommendations for the entire state.

Staff Immigration Story

With an increase of immigration issues, our LCSW was requested to do a story about the horrific treatment one of our clients received while being held in an ICE detention center.

Member of SCD Coalition

The SCATMTF is the only Texas sickle cell organization to be invited to be a member on ASH's Sickle Cell Disease Coalition for two years, where we will discuss upcoming research, access to care and more with the American Society of Hematology.
