Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Case Manager

Emily O’Shea is a licensed clinical social worker that became interested in social justice issues when she started studying at the University of Arizona.  She was able to further her education at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Master of Science in Social Work.  Ms. O’Shea has been working in the Austin area at the county, state, and federal level.  Her experience includes work around abuse/neglect, severe mental illness, homelessness, and addiction.  Since 2016 Ms. O’Shea has been employed through the Sickle Cell Association of Texas as a case manager, counselor, advocate, and health educator.  Ms. O’Shea is passionate about working towards solutions to improve sickle cell disease treatment and management.
